Vladislav Lavrik — a talented musician, who combines remarkable talents of performer and conductor. He is rightfully considered to be one of the best trumpet player in Russia and young symphonic conductor , who made his debut with Russian national orchestra in 2010.
Lavrik was born in 1980 in Zaporozhe in the family of musicians. In music school he studied simultaneously at piano and horns faculty. In 1994 he entered Music college named after А. Schnittke in the class of trumpet to the professor А. М. Pautov.
Attending classes in the college, Vladislav showed himself as solo trumpet player , performing with different orchestras in Russia and abroad. From 1998 to 2003 he continued studying in Moscow state conservatory named after P.I.Tchaikovsky in the class of professor U.A.Usov, and later – in the class of assistant professor U.E.Vlasenko, where he graduated from postgraduate training program in 2005.
In 2000 after finishing the 2-nd year of conservatory V. Lavrik was invited to the Russian national orchestra and in 2001 at the age of 20 he began to work as a concertmaster of trumpet group , became the youngest musician in the history of the orchestra, who took this position.
Vladislav is the winner of Moscow International festival of young soloists (1997, 1998), the laureate of several international contests. Among them are: «The contest of young trumpet players named after T. Dokschitzer» (1994, 1996), The International contest «Classic heritage» (1994), «Moscow international contest of trumpet players» (2000).
Combining active solo, ensemble and orchestra activity as a trumpet player, since 2009 Vladislav began to learn conducting and now he studies at Russian Gnesin’s Academy in the class of V.I.Fedoseev in the opera – symphonic conducting department.
As a conductor, Lavrik performed with Russian National orchestra, Symphony orchestra of the Ministry of Defense of Russian Federation, symphony orchestra of Udmurtia, chamber orchestra «Musica viva», dividing conductor’s podium with Т. Currentzis . In 2011 Vladislav conducted at music festivals «Return», «Brass Days», and also at the International music project «Russia Muses are for the World». At the present time Lavrik performs duties of the second conductor in the Russian National orchestra and performed with it in subscription concerts of the season 2012-2013.
Since 2008 Vladislav teaches at Moscow conservatory named after P.I.Tchaikovsky .
