Alena Baeva is one of the brightest gifted young violinists, who won the recognition of the audience and critics in Russia and abroad in a short time.
In 2004 Alena Baeva was honored with grand prize at the II Moscow contest of violinists named after Paganini and the right of playing one of the top-level violin in the history – unique “Stradivari”, being belonged to G.Venyavsky throughout the year. In 2005 she became the laureate of Queen Elizabeth’s contest in Brussels, in 2007 she was awarded with Gold medal and the People’s choice award at the III International contest of violinists in Sendai (Japan). In that particular year Alena was awarded with the prize of youth “Triumph”.
Alena Baeva recorded 5 CDs: concerts №1 M.Bruch and №1 D.Shostakovich with Russian national orchestra headed by P.Berglund (Pentatone Classics/Fund of investments’ programmes), concerts of K.Szymanowski (DUX), sonatas of F.Poulenc, S.Prokofiev, C. Debussy with V.Kholodenko (SIMC), solo disc (Japan, 2008), for the record of which the fund of investments’ programmes granted a unique violin «Ex-Paganini» - the work of Carlo Bergonzi. In 2009 the Swedish fund Orpheum the disc was off the press with the record of Baeva’s concert in Tonhalle (Zurich), in which she performed the 1st concert of S.Prokofiev with the Big symphony orchestra named after P.I.Tchaikovsky headed by V.Fedoseev. At the present time Alena Baevaplays the violin of Antonio Stradivari, which was granted by the fund of State collection of unique musical instruments.
