Roman Simović is a leader with the London Symphony Orchestra. He has been described as a “supreme violinist” (Večernji list, Croatia) and “far from being otherworldly” (The Times, London) and has been praised for his “exceptional musicality” (Głos Konkursowy, Poland), while his renowned colleague Shlomo Mintz has spoken of Simović’s “rare and unique gift, huge potential and unbounded abilities.”

Roman Simović is a dazzling virtuoso musician with a rich imagination who has a subtle sense of music. He performs in Eastern and Western Europe, Russia, Israel, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, Canada, the USA and South America. He has given recitals at the world’s most prestigious venues, among them the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, the Grand Opera House in Tel Aviv, Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Rudolfinum in Prague, the Barbican Hall in London, the Seoul Arts Center, the Grieg Hall in Bergen and the Rachmaninoff Hall of the Moscow Conservatoire.

The musician quickly earned himself an international reputation. He has been a prize-winner at numerous international competitions including the International Rodolfo Lipizer Violin Competition (Italy), at which in addition to the Gold Medal he was awarded twelve special prizes, the International Violin Competition in Sion Valais (Switzerland), the International Abram Yampolsky Violin Competition (Russia) and the International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition (Poland). These victories brought him fame as one of the most outstanding violinists of the present day.

As a soloist, the musician performs with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra (South Africa), the Symphony Nova Scotia (Canada), the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra (South Africa), the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra (Hungary), the Camerata Bern (Switzerland), the Camerata Salzburg (Austria), the Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall Chamber Orchestra (Turkey), the Kiev Philharmonic, the Lvov Philharmonic, the  Moskovia chamber orchestra (Russia), the Filarmônica de Minas Gerais (Brazil), the Poznań and Prague Philharmonic Orchestras, the Serbian Radio and TV Orchestra and the Seoul Sinfonietta (South Korea) among others.

Roman Simović appears at numerous music festivals, among them the Summer Festival in Dubrovnik (Croatia), Kotor Art(Montenegro), the Belgrade and Novi Sad Festivals (Serbia), the Sion Valais Festival (Switzerland), the Bergen Festival (Norway), the Winter Festival in Moscow, the Portogruaro Festival (Italy) and the Granada Music Festival (Spain). The violinist collaborates with such musicians as Shlomo Mintz, Antonio Pappano, Kristjan Järvi, François Leleux, Itamar Golan, Janine Jansen and Julian Rachlin.

In addition to his career as a recitalist, Roman Simović frequently performs with chamber ensembles. He founded the acclaimed Rubicon String Quartet with which he performs to this day in addition to touring and recording. The musician also teaches in the USA, Great Britain, South Korea, Serbia, Montenegro and Israel. Roman Simović performs on a 1752 Giovanni Battista Guadagnini violin, generously provided by Jonathan Moulds, President of the Bank of America.
