Sergey Krylov was born in Moscow in the family of musicians. At the age of 5 he began to study playing the violin and at the age of 10 he made his debut with symphony orchestra, performed in Russia, China, Finland and Germany. At early age the musician won his first award in the contest of violinists “Rodolfo Lipicer’s prize” , and after studying at Salvatore Accardo  he became the laureate of the contest named after Antonio Stradivari in Cremona and prestigious International contest named after  Fritz Kreisler  in Vienna. After winning this contest the distinguished career of the musician broke out; he began to perform at the biggest musical playgrounds of the World, among them are Berlin and Munich philarmonies, Munich Hercules – hall,  Musikfreunde and Konzerthaus in Vienna, théâtre des Champs-Élysées and  Concert Hall of Radio in France (Paris), Megaron Hall of Athens, The Palace of art Bozar in Brussels, Suntory Hall in Tokio, Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Venetian Teatro la Fenice and  Milanese La Scala. 
Sergey Krylov works together with the most famous orchestras of the World, among them are  Viennese symphony orchestra, symphony orchestra of the Mariinsky theatre, Dresden orchestra of state chapel, English chamber orchestra, symphony orchestra of St/Petersburg’s philarmony, symphony orchestra of Hessian radio (Frankfurt), the orchestra «Camerata Salzburg», symphony orchestra NHK, Czech philharmonic orchestra, Milanese orchestra named after оркестр им. Giuseppe Verdi, orchestra «Philarmonika Toskanini», State philharmonic orchestra of Hamburg and Copenhagen philharmonic orchestra.

From 2009  Sergey Krylov is the chief conductor of Chamber orchestra of Lithuania. Besided recently released disc with 24 caprices of Paganini, there are various records for  EMI, «Melody» and Agorà labels that are included to his discography.
Sergey Krylov plays the violin Scotland University. It is the work of Stradivari (1734) from the collection of Su Vin Lam, given by the Fund of Antonio Stradivari in Cremona.
