Concert presentation of the ANTHOLOGY OF MUSIC BY COMPOSERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF TATARSTAN
January 23, 2013 witnessed presentation of the Anthology of Music by Composers of the Republic of Tatarstan recorded by Sony Music and Red Seal, which is a unique record project aiming at giving a large overview of the Tatar symphony music. The Anthology is a collaboration between the Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra and b-sharp studio producer and sound engineer Philipp Nedel (Berlin).
A set of 3 discs was recorded in six sessions at the Saydashev Great Concert Hall in August, 2012. The first CD features classical composers, the second CD embraces works of modern female composers, and the third CD is compiled from male composers music. Total length is 176 minutes.
1 CD:
Fasil Akhmetov (the Kazan Symphony), Almaz Monasypov (Mussa Jalil), Farid Yarullin (Fire Witch and Shaitan’s Dance and The Wedding Dance from Shurale ballet), Nazib Zhiganov (Sabantui Symphony), Alexander Mirgorodsky (Overture-fantasie on the songs themes by Salikh Saydashev), Salikh Saydashev (Red Army March).

The Anthology is a non-profit project. CDs with music by composers of Tatarstan are meant as presents for guests who will visit Kazan during 2013-Universiade, as well as for business trip presentations. As far as distribution of the discs is concerned, Philipp Nedel noticed that 'Distribution of the recorded music is primarily meant for the Russian audience. Yet, regarding the fact that the format of the Anthology with such a unique content as symphony music of a particular region is generally unusual, we would like to make a promotion of the Anthology by portions'.
Templates are printed and already monitored by Alexander Sladkovsky. He is satisfied with the result, announcing that 'They are fine. The material we recorded could be sufficient for the fourth album. Mr. Nedel suggested we should release it separately from the Anthology'.
