The mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin will take part in charity concert with Tatarstan National symphony orchestra.
All money gained from sales of tickets will be transferred to the Anzhela Vavilova Public Charitable Foundation for child’s cancer treatment and building of the first child’s hospice in Tatarstan.
The concert will be on 15 February, International Childhood Cancer Day.
It’s already the fourth charity concert of Tatarstan National Symphony orchestra and Maestro Sladkovsky. Thanks to these concerts about 10 million rubles were collected.
The total cost of hospice building is 154, 2 million rubles.

For me charity means not only to give but also to participate in it. Charity is my life position to the people which are in trouble. I am happy that thanks to our concerts the children can get the real help, says art director and principal conductor of Tatarstan National symphony orchestra Alexander Sladkovsky.
Ilsur Metshin and the actress of Kamal Theatre will declaim symphonic fairy-tale Nutcracker based on motive of fairy-tale of Hoffmann and libretto of Marius Petipa. There will be the music of Tchaikovsky from the ballet of the same name.
